The Alpensia Ski Resort, in Gangwon-do, South Korea, has six slopes for skiers to enjoy and glide down on a cold winter day. The trails are as long as 1.4 kilometers, and provide skiing for both beginners and the more experienced. With mostly large hills, the upper-head of the mountain is steepest. The Apron Area is flat at the bottom of the hill and changes into a wild-flower escape in summer.
Lift tickets are available for skiing from 8:00AM to 5:30PM.There are also services available for those who need to rent skis or snowboards. A locker room for storing your hats, gloves and other needs for when you go out in the cold is also available. The equipment is good here. You can rent a boot with snaps and an inner lining for a good price. They are attended to, so you can be sure you are going to get a good pair.
In the afternoon and night, the temperature drops and the hill becomes icier should you decide to go on a more difficult trail. The mountain is very conveniently located from main traveling points and landmarks. There are many modern-built areas to eat, that sell sushi, and other foods in many different storefronts. You can enjoy the nature of Daelwallyyeong. The resort is a world class tourist complex. The designers of the resort also built in Denmark, so it has European influence in its architecture.
